Our Chinese students worked tirelessly to make the annual celebration a great success. Chinese Week is a crucial part of building understanding and respect among students for other cultures and creeds. Throughout the week students enjoyed fun activities, delicious food, sharing of culture and grand festivities.
One of our aims is educating our students to a profound sense of internationalism where an understanding, acceptance and respect for different cultures, different religions and different ways of life becomes a hallmark of their character.
Chinese Week featured a wonderful cultural exhibition, calligraphy and Chinese paper cutting workshops, shadow puppets, lantern making and riddles, dumpling competitions Chinese-inspired, foods at the canteen each day and chopstick master games for all Senior and Junior School students to enjoy.
Lion Dancing is arguably the most popular celebration during Chinese New Year and at Kardinia International College it was no exception. The traditional Lion Dance which closed off Chinese Week was spectacular! Thank you to all the students involved in the planning and delivery of 2017 Chinese Week.
